Aurora Literary Competition
The Northeast Alabama Community College English Department, under the direction of Jeff Hawes and Joan Reeves, holds an annual writing contest for area middle and high school students. Winners will be published in an upcoming issue of Aurora, NACC's art and literature journal. Because NACC will only accept up to 3 submissions per category, students interested in participating will first need to submit their entries via Google Doc share to me (due dates will be posted around the school closer to competition time). I, with other faculty volunteers, will rate the entries. The highest 3 scores in each category will then move on to submit to the Aurora contest. If you have any questions, please see me during school hours or email me at [email protected].
Don't fret too much over your format. Just type it to the best of your ability. If yours is chosen to move forward, I will help you with format.
